Released in 2008 to a whole host of first class reviews and industry acclaim, Superior Drummer 2.0 is a complete overhaul of the original dfh Superior engine. Re-developed for optimized use with e-drums with more effective use of sample layers and much improved loading times, it includes custom MIDI played by Nir Z (Genesis, John Mayer, Joss Stone) and is accessed through Toontrack's customized MIDI engine and arranger EZplayer® Pro. Superior Drummer's first expansion pack - SDX: 'The Lost New York Studios' - was released in March and contains unique sample recordings from two legendary New York Studios - Hit Factory NY and Allaire Studios, sadly both of which have now closed. Featuring kits with seven kick drums, thirteen snares and a wide variety of cymbals all recorded in extreme detail, this pack also includes custom MIDI library played and recorded by Nir Z.
