Native Instruments ha rilasciato da qualche giorno la beta pubblica, riservata agli utenti registrati, di Kontakt v3.5. Un nuovo motore di campionamento, un aggiornato sistema di streaming da HD (DFD streaming technology) e l'indirizzamento a 64-bit della memoria su Mac OS X e su Windows Vista 64 sono le principali novità che introdurrà la versione 3.5. Il programma di beta testing è mirato ovviamente a rendere fin da subito stabile e affidabile questa nuova release, le cui specifiche sono nel dettaglio le seguenti:

64-bit memory addressing for Mac OS X and Windows Vista 64.
New DFD engine with drastically reduced memory footprint.

Aftertouch interpretation added to KSP.

Play cursor for Beat Maschine mode in Wave Editor.
Pro Tools compatibility under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

IMPORTANTE nota per gli utenti della beta pubblica:
potrà essere attivata attraverso il seriale che già si possiede per la verisone 3 retail.
richiede e sovrascriverà l'installazione di un Kontakt 3.0.x.
la beta pubblica cesserà di funzionar il 1° Luglio 2009 (il rilascio della verisone finale dovrebbe avvenire quindi prima di tale scadenza).
